Spending its life living in cold, clean New Zealand water, wild abalone concentrates a remarkably broad marine lipid profile: more than thirty-five distinct fatty acids, spanning four omega families. That breadth is genuinely rare in any single natural source. Most give you one family, sometimes two.
We want to be careful and honest about what that means. We're not claiming that more types of fatty acids automatically mean more benefit. That's not a promise the science supports, and we won't make it. Why this isn't just "another fish oil"
The comparison people reach for is fish oil, so let's be straight about the difference on composition, which is a matter of fact, not opinion.
Fish oil is typically concentrated down to essentially two fatty acids: EPA and DHA. They're valuable, and they're a narrow slice. Wild abalone oil carries marine omega-3s in their natural ratio alongside palmitoleic acid (omega-7) and DPA, two lipids fish oil largely doesn’t have, and the wider spectrum around them.
It's not a stronger version of the same thing. It's a broader, more complete one. Closer to whole than to concentrate.
The four families, briefly

Omega-3 — the marine family, in its natural co-presence. EPA, DPA and ALA, together rather than isolated. DPA in particular is the quiet one most oils skip, and abalone is unusually rich in it.
Omega-7 — the rare one. Palmitoleic acid, the lipid your own skin makes to stay supple, and one of the hardest fatty acids to find in any supplement. Wild abalone carries it in abundance.
Omega-6 — the essentials your body can't make. Linoleic and arachidonic acid. You need them from your diet, and a whole marine source includes them as part of the complete picture rather than stripping them out.
Omega-9 — the familiar one, marine-sourced. Oleic acid, the monounsaturated fat you know from olive oil, here arriving as part of the ocean's own blend.
The first two families carry the threads most people come to us for. The second two are here because completeness is the whole idea. Your body uses all four, so a whole oil shouldn't pretend otherwise.
Whole is only worth anything if it's clean
